"The new clip for "Justify" was filmed last weekend in Helsinki. The story is focussing on Lauri, who is sitting in an empty pool, confined to a chair, and the water is rising slowly... The singer had to sit in the water for almost three days to finish the video. The treatment idea came from Pauli, guitar player of the band."

Lauri as movie composer

The Rasmus' Lauri makes his debute as a movie composer
Black Roses, which will be released on next week, is not the only thing that has kept Lauri Ylönen busy. He also makes his debute as a movie composer this year with Blackout.

The thriller Blackout directed and written by JP Siili will get its premiere on 26 December. Some of the actors in the movie are Petteri Summanen, Irina Björklund, Jenni Banerjee, Mikko Leppilampi and Hannu-Pekka Björkman.

The producer Olli Haikka tells co-operation with Ylönen started naturally.

- We have projects in common, which started the discussion. He read the manuscript and showed director some themes, which were quite impressive. He simply fitted perfectly well in this movie, tells Haikka.

According to Haikka a couple of songs from The Rasmus' new album will be heard in the movie too.

- Of course it's different to work for a director comparing to compose songs for oneself. Lauri has adopted this new role well and he's a movie-lover too. Working together went perfectly greatly and I must say I wanted processes like this more, says Olli.

"THE RASMUS' SINGER IN VIDEO ACCIDENT

When Lauri Ylönen was pushed through a glass window, it accidently shattered and he was cut on the razor sharp glass, barely escaping his neck being slit.
In the video clip for the new single "Livin' In A World Without You", The Rasmus' singer was to be brutally pushed up against a window, but the pressure made the the glass break, and Lauri Ylönen fell through it, and the the video team panicked when they realized he was bleeding.
"It was a close shave", said Lauri Ylönen, "I could have been cut pretty bad but now I got away with a scar on my arm."
The accident was captured on a mobile phone camera by a member of the film crew. "

I video klippet til "Livin' in a world without you" blev The Rasmus sangeren voldsomt skubbet mod et vindue, men prasset fik glasset til at smadre, og Lauri Ylönen faldt igennem det, og video teamet panikede da de fandt ud af han blødte!

"Det var tæt på" sagde Lauri Ylönen, "Jeg kunne have skåret mig meget slemt, men nu går jeg her fra med et ar på min arm"

Ulykken var filmet med en mobil telefon af en af medlemmerne af "film crewet"
